Ajay Chopra Ajay has over 20 years of operating experience at the senior management and board level with start-ups, private companies and public companies. Prior to joining Trinity Ventures in 2006, Ajay co-founded Pinnacle Systems, a seminal media technology company that pioneered consumer generated media creation. During his tenure at Pinnacle, the company grew from start-up stage to a global $350M public company, won several Emmy awards and completed over a dozen M&A transactions before being acquired by Avid Technology. Previously, Ajay was with Mindset Corporation, a computer graphics start-up. Before Mindset, he held various technical and management positions at Atari Corporation, a video games company, and Unisys Corporation, an IT services company. He is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, an active group providing support for entrepreneurs.

Mr. Gove joined Walden in October, 1999. Prior to Walden, he was a Senior Columnist at Red Herring, a monthly magazine about the business of technology. From April, 1995, until his departure, he was responsible for the magazine's venture capital and digital media coverage. In addition to writing monthly columns on venture capital and digital media, he completed numerous feature stories, company profiles, and interviews. Mr. Gove also created and wrote a bi-weekly column for Red Herring's Web site about the relationship between entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Prior to Red Herring, Mr. Gove worked in entertainment production and investment banking.

Joe Jasin has built an international career within the wireless telecommunications industry, with depth of experience that spans more than 14 years. His background includes roles in technology, business operations, corporate strategic investments and the founder of two wireless businesses. Currently he serves as Vice President of Corporate Investments for SK Telecom, the largest mobile operator in Korea. SK Telecom's investments include the U.S.-based MVNO Helio, and, a $1 billion dollar investment in the Chinese mobile operator China Unicom. Mr. Jasin’s outside activities also focus in large part on Asia. He presently holds positions with numerous committee and industry groups. Mr. Jasin is the founder and chair of the Software Development Forum's Mobile Internet group; formal advisor to the U.S. State Department's Office of Commerce and Information Policy APEC Telecommunications Affairs; member of CTIA's Wireless Internet Caucus

   
David Ladd

David Ladd, Managing Director, is the communications and VoIP expert at Mayfield Fund. An early engineer at ROLM Corporation for eight years, he left to co-found voice messaging company, Opcom/VMX, which grew to a $100 million publicly held company. VMX merged with Octel Communications in 1994, and David became CTO. After Lucent Technologies acquired Octel in 1997, David joined Mayfield part-time while continuing to help Lucent form spin-out companies based on Bell Labs technology. David joined Mayfield full-time in May 1999.David holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. in Math from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Prior to Watertower Group he was a partner at Entertainment Media Ventures (EMV), a Michael Milken backed seed and early stage venture capital fund located in Los Angeles, California. Prior to EMV Derek founded two southern California based technology companies.

Len Rand joined Granite Ventures in 2002 after spending nearly three decades in the technology sector. Prior to Granite, Len was General Manager of Strategic Marketing and Global Alliances for Intel Communications Group (ICG) at Intel Corporation. He joined Intel following its acquisition of NetBoost Corporation, where Len was CEO and founder. Len was a co-founder of Internet Middleware, Inc., acquired by Network Appliance; CEO of The Whitewater Group, acquired by Symantec; and CEO of the Rand Group, acquired by Intergraph Corporation. He was Vice President and General Manager at both Intergraph Corporation and Autodesk, Inc. Len serves on the Boards of Directors for Aspen Avionics, H-Stream Wireless, Plato Networks and PowerGenix. He holds several degrees including a B.S. degree in Building Sciences, a B.S. degree in Engineering, a BArch degree in Architecture, and an M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
