MODERATOR Ari Levy Senior Technology Reporter Bloomberg News As a technology reporter at Bloomberg, Ari Levy has covered networking, Internet and mobile-phone companies while following deals and dealmakers in private equity and venture capital. He joined Bloomberg in 2003 as a stock market reporter in New York and moved to San Francisco in 2006 to write about Silicon Valley. After an 18-month hiatus to cover the financial crisis, he re-joined the tech team as a senior reporter in August. Ari has a master's degree in business journalism from Baruch College in New York. |

Savinay Berry Vice President Granite Ventures Savinay Berry joined Granite Ventures in August 2008. He focuses on both software and communications. Prior to joining Granite Ventures, Savinay held associate positions at JK&B Capital and MK Capital. From 2000 to 2006, he held various positions at Dell Inc., most recently as senior global commodity manager for wireless products. He also served as a development engineer in the data recording equipment start-up at Instrumented Sensors Technology from 1998 to 2000. |

The firm manages over $400 million in invested capital from our offices in Beijing, Taipei and San Francisco. Eric is also an active angel investor in Valley focusing on seed stage Internet, consumer electronics and software opportunities. Eric works closely with WI Harper’s offices in the U.S and Greater China and is actively involved with Laszlo, Ooma, Mail.com Media and EditGrid. Eric was one of the first employees at E2open, a pioneer of the on-demand software model, and a co-founder of an e-commerce company operating in Silicon Valley. He earned an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford. |

He has Worldwide responsibility for partnerships and business development for Cloud Computing and is also responsible for the Sun Startup Essentials Program and Solaris-on-demand program for SaaS. At Sun he has been in previous leadership roles in partner management for software infrastructure and security markets. Prior to Sun, he was responsible for the US Operations of Bluestar, a software consulting company based in San Jose, CA. Prior to Bluestar, he was a part of a Startup Software Consulting company in San Jose and has worked in different sales and marketing positions in startup operations in Europe and India. |
